Especially the “calories in, calories out” mentality. Our bodies are much more sophisticated than that and hormones play a huge part in our metabolism, but those that promoted the “calories in, calories out” mentality never took that into account.
But again, it’s not your (or my) fault that we followed this advice. I’m sure you were just like me and just wanted to be healthy and fit. We just had no idea what the end result of all this dieting and excessive exercise would be.
And as far as the toxic
world we live in … we may not be able to stop all the chemicals being produced,
but we can take steps to reduce our personal toxic overload in our own lives
