Ovarian Cyst Symptoms ... Learn how to alleviate them!
So, how do you know if you have PCOS?
The more of the following Ovarian Cyst Symptoms you tick, the higher
your chances of having this condition.
The most
common ovarian cyst symptoms are:
Obesity / excess weight that is
difficult to lose. Note: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome / PCOS and Obesity
are often linked together in a vicious cycle that makes it difficult to tell
which condition came first and triggered the other. No matter which came
first, both conditions often have a common denominator in Insulin Resistance and
Estrogen Dominance.
Yo-yo dieting: no matter how many
times you lose weight, it comes right back on again. Again, common
Ovarian Cyst Symptoms are often implicated in weight gain and yo-yo dieting,
particularly because Insulin Resistance is often at the root of the problem, and
Insulin Resistance triggers food cravings which makes it easy to give in to food
cravings and re-gain the weight, continuing the yo-yo dieting syndrome.
Infertility. Because there
could be many reasons for infertility, it is often very difficult to pin-point
infertility as a symptom or even
as a symptom of Estrogen Dominance, but in many cases, these two conditions are at the root of
the problem.
Lack
of ovulation. Like infertility, it is difficult to know if you have a
problem with ovulating unless you are trying to get pregnant.
Irregular periods, cessation of
periods, or very light and infrequent periods
Depression
High cholesterol
High blood pressure
Acne
Recurrent miscarriages
Decreased sex drive
Hirsutism (excessive hair on the
face and body)
Oily skin
Fatigue
Lack of mental alertness
Mood swings, irritability
Hair loss or balding
Abnormal vaginal bleeding
Skin tags
Estrogen Dominance
(Click

symptoms of Estrogen Dominance). Note: Estrogen Dominance and Polycystic
Ovarian Syndrome / PCOS are often linked together in a vicious cycle that makes
it difficult to tell which condition came first and triggered the other.
No matter which came first, both conditions have a common denominator in obesity
and insulin resistance.
Insulin Resistance
(Click

symptoms of Insulin Resistance). Note: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome / PCOS
and Insulin Resistance are often linked together in a vicious cycle that makes
it difficult to tell which condition came first and triggered the other.
No matter which came first, both conditions have a common denominator in obesity
and often, Estrogen Dominance.
How can you learn to manage
or alleviate these PCOS Symptoms?
If you have ticked off more than
a few of the above Ovarian Cyst Symptoms, then it would be a good idea to talk to your family
doctor about running tests to see if these symptoms in fact indicate a diagnosis
of PCOS, Insulin Resistance or Estrogen Dominance.
(Page 118 and 119 of the "Diet Free ... At Last!" Weight Loss Program e-book
lists the most common tests that doctors run to help with the diagnosis of PCOS, Insulin Resistance or Estrogen Dominance)
If indeed, your root problem is
Ovarian Cyst Syndrome / PCOS, which triggers the insulin resistance and
Estrogen Dominance, it is important that your medical plan of attack is to
address all these conditions at the same time (otherwise it is very difficult to break the
vicious cycle).
By the way, it really is a
"chicken and egg" situation
where it is difficult to know what came first, PCOS, Insulin Resistance or Estrogen Dominance, but in
the end, the strategies to overcome PCOS are the same:correcting the Insulin Resistance and Estrogen Dominance will alleviate
the Ovarian Cyst Symptoms of PCOS.
